At the beginning, inform the doctor about the purpose of your consultation.
Provide comprehensive answers. During a teleconsultation, the doctor’s primary source of information – in addition to attached test results and your medical history – is what you say. Therefore, describe all observed symptoms and any discomfort you are experiencing.
Do not hesitate to ask questions. Ask the questions you prepared earlier. Let the doctor know that you would like to write down the most important information.
Tell the doctor if you do not understand something. Ask for clarification.
If you do not hear something, ask for it to be repeated.
If the doctor does not inform you about a follow-up visit, ask whether it is necessary.
During a teleconsultation, the doctor does not issue referrals for computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging. For this purpose, you will be advised to schedule an in-person visit at a medical facility.
