If you need a planned orthopedic surgery after a musculoskeletal injury – we will arrange it for you. A Hospital Care Coordinator will guide you through the entire process – from the qualifying consultation to the procedure. 
The surgery will be performed in our own facilities as well as in partner locations across the country.

If you or your employee need to undergo a planned surgical procedure, we will ensure its efficient organization and cover the costs – up to a specified limit. The scope of the PZU Zdrowie medical plan includes procedures such as ophthalmic, ENT, gynecological, urological, orthopedic, and general surgery. Procedures are performed based on a doctor’s referral – at our own facilities and partner locations across the country.

• trauma surgery for children and adults (treatment of fractures, dislocations, and sprains)
• spine surgery (treatment of degenerative changes and spinal injuries)
• arthroscopic procedures (shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, and ankle)

• identify your medical problem
• provide medical advice, if your case allows it
• issue a prescription for medications necessary to treat the reported health issue, if permitted under nursing professional qualifications
• provide information on which facility you should visit to receive the best possible care for your health concern.

• a medical interview conducted by a dispatcher, who will decide whether to organize the service if your case allows it.
• assistance from a medical team composed of two paramedics, at a location agreed with the caller during the request. 
• transport to an appropriate medical facility that provides hospital services, in the event that, despite the medical actions taken, your condition worsens or requires diagnostics that cannot be performed by the paramedic team, or requires urgent medical intervention. 

Based on a certificate issued by a doctor or another authorized professional, you and your employees can take advantage of reimbursement for the rental of medical equipment that supports treatment and daily functioning. If the equipment is included in our list, we cover its cost – up to a specified amount.
